Champions are not born; they are made. They developed themselves by working very hard to achieve their dreams.
Why champions win?
Champions win because they think like champions. They think like winners, not like losers.
Peter McWilliams said, “Our thoughts create our reality- where we put our focus is the direction we tend to go.”
Champions don’t quit because they are tired. They quit because they have succeeded. In the words of Billie Jean King, “Champions keep playing until they got it right.” Losers quit because they got it wrong. Winners quit because they got it right. If you want to win, don’t quit because you are tired, or because you got it wrong. Quit because you got it right, and that you are ready to take on the next assignment.
Champions always win because they are bold. They are courageous. They are fearless. They are not afraid to make mistakes. In fact, they love making mistakes.
Billie Jean King said, “Be bold. If you are going to make an error, make a doozy, and don’t be afraid to hit the ball.” If you want to win, don’t be afraid to try. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Risk is a part of the game of life. Risk is a part of the game of winning. If you don’t take risk, how are you going to win? No risk, no win.
Champions win because they are self-aware. They know themselves. They know what they can and cannot do. They know their strengths and weaknesses. They know that it takes discipline to be a champion. They know that it doesn’t take overnight to be a champion. To quote Billie Jean King, “I think self-awareness is probably the most important thing towards being a champion.” When you know yourself, you know others.
Life is all about moving forward. It is about growing, learning, changing, and moving forward. The question is: “Are you in the game of playing forward or playing backward?
If you are playing forward, keep playing. Life is all about growth. If you are not growing, you are dying.
If you want to be successful, don’t live in the past. Don’t live in the future. Both are dangerous, but living in the future is better than living in the past. Because living in the future can change your life, if you play the game well. Living in the past, on the other hand, has the power to keep you where you are.
“Winners learn from the past and enjoy working in the present toward the future.”- Denis Waitley
Successful people don’t live in the past. They learn from the past. If you want to do great things in your life, don’t live in the past. Learn from the past, and be happy to work in the moment toward your future.
People love winners. Winning is attractive. It does not matter whether it is a small or a big win. People just love to be around winners. Why not?
In anything that we do, winning is all that matters. People don’t care how you did it. They just want to share the stage with you.
When it comes to winning, it takes time to be a winner. It takes years of intentional preparation, of training, of crying, of failing, and of winning. It takes a positive mindset to be a winner. You have to win in your mind. If you think like a loser inside, you cannot act like a winner outside. Winning starts in the mind.
If you want to be a winner, be willing and be ready to stay in the game of life. You are going to keep growing yourself. You are going to keep developing yourself. You are going to be training yourself. You cannot be a winner if you are not ready to be a learner. You must learn to grow. You must learn to be better than yesterday.
If you want to be a REAL winner, you MUST think like a winner, act like a winner, work like a winner, plan like a winner, talk like a winner, and walk like a winner. You will be a winner.
If you have the will to win at anything you set out to accomplish in life, you will find a way to achieve it. You don’t need the highest IQ to succeed. The will to win at anything you set out to achieve is all you need to succeed. If you have the will, you will find a way. As Jim Rohn famously said, “If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”
