Where there is no trust, growth suffers. The same is true for you. If you don’t trust yourself, if you don’t trust your power to get things done, if you don’t think you can change your life, you are in for a long walk. Trust is everything. Trust brings out the best in you. It opens your mind to new things. It lightens your life. It is what you need to navigate the world.
People work with people they trust. If people don’t trust you, they won’t do anything with you. When you trust yourself, people will trust you. In the words of Shakti Gawain, “When I’m trusting and being myself as fully as possible, everything in my life reflects this by falling into place easily, often miraculously.” It happens like that because you trust yourself. You permit yourself to make mistakes. You are okay with who you are. You are not interested in what other people are saying about you. You permit yourself to be you, without trying to be something you are not.
If you want to build trust, you must be consistent with your actions. You must be consistent with your words. You must be consistent with your thoughts. If you say you want to do something, make sure you do it. If you promise to deliver something to someone, deliver it. If you can’t do it, let the person know about it. Don’t say what you cannot do. Don’t over promise and under deliver. If you want people to really trust you, you must walk your talk. Are you ready to walk your talk?
