Work Gives Satisfaction

Anne Frank said, “Laziness may appear attractive, but work gives satisfaction.” Yes, laziness is attractive. The real question is: “How long?” As human beings, we are created to move around, not be incarcerated. But lots of people are living in a self-designed jail, because they don’t want to take risks.

The purpose of working is not only to make a living, but to develop yourself- your body, your mind, and your soul. A busy mind is a productive mind. A working mind is an active mind. An active mind is a creative mind. Yes, we work to earn a living, but it is more than that.

Think of what you get from your workplace, if you are lucky to be working for a great boss or manager: you meet great people, you exchange knowledge, you increase your social capital, and you expand your horizon. But when you are not doing anything, you are not helping yourself, but hurting yourself. You are hurting yourself because human beings are social animals. We are always in motion. If you are not in motion, then you are motionless. If you are not moving, you are dying. If you are not moving, you are wasting.

If you want to do something to better your life and you don’t know how to go about it, reach out to the people you know who can help you. Tell them what you want to do NOW. It is not going to be easy. Taking the first step is not always easy. Doing something for the first time is not always easy, but you can do it. Is it going to be scary? Yes, but you can do it.

Think of anything that is stopping you from being your REAL self. If you know it, change it. If you have been hanging out with people who are not supportive of your plans, it is time to say goodbye to them. They are not helping you; they are hurting you. if you keep them, then you are hurting yourself. It is your choice.

Everything happens in your mind

What is happening to us is not as a result of where we live, what we do, rich or poor, sad or happy, pessimistic or optimistic, educated or uneducated, it is determined by how we feel inside our mind, body and soul.

It does not matter where you live or what you do, if your inner life is not at peace with you, your outer life will pay the price. Your mind has a life of its own. If you want to have a healthy and a happy life, take care of your mind. Everything happens in your mind. Yes, in your mind.

Take care of your inner life, so that your outer life will take care of itself. If you are sick inside, there is nothing your doctor can do to save you. Real sickness is not physical sickness. It is emotional and psychological sickness.

To take care of your soul, don’t do anything contrary to who you are inside, don’t eat unhealthy food, meditate, exercise, practice yoga, read good books, travel, meet positive people, and most importantly, pray. Always pray.”

It is how you feel inside that will determine how you feel outside. if you feel terrible inside, you will feel terrible outside. Your soul takes care of your body. So, take care of your soul to take care of your body. James Allen said,”The outer conditions of a person’s life will always be found to reflect their inner beliefs.”

Your inner life is more important than the outer life. Take care of it.
