Be The Driver Of Your Life

“The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.”– Henry Miller, writer

Buddha famously said, “Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.”

Your life is yours to live. The worst mistake you can make is to allow someone else to control your life. If you allow people to control your life, then you are not living your own God given life. The aim of life is to live a fulfilled life, not a borrowed life.

The fines thing you can do for yourself is to be your own driver. Drive yourself to wherever you want to go. No matter what, always be your own driver. It is important to be your own driver because you know yourself better than anyone out there. You know what you are good at; you know what you are not so good at. Most important, you know where you are going to in life. Seneca famously said, “If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable.” That is right.

If you are the one driving yourself, you know where you are going to. But if it is someone else driving you to somewhere, for sure, you don’t know how it is going to end. It is hard to face reality. Face your own reality, and you will never regret it.

What does it mean to you to have control over your life?

In life, it means a lot. Human beings don’t like to be controlled. We don’t like to be told what to do, and what not to do. We like to figure things out ourselves. That is what makes life interesting. That is what makes us want to try more strange things. That is why we want to experiment with new things.

When you are in control of your life, it means you can do what you want, when you want it, and how you want it. But is it still possible to live like that in today’s society where everything is controlled and regulated? Yes, it is still possible. You just have to mindful how you go about doing it.

The purpose of living is to be able to have control over our decisions. We make decisions on a daily basis. If someone else is in control of your life, the person is in control of your destiny. Then you are not living. You are just existing. To live a fulfilled and accomplished life, we should be in total control of our lives. Period.

4 Reasons Why Champions Always Win

Are champions born or made?

Champions are not born; they are made. They developed themselves by working very hard to achieve their dreams.

Why champions win?

Champions win because they think like champions. They think like winners, not like losers.

Peter McWilliams said, “Our thoughts create our reality- where we put our focus is the direction we tend to go.”

Champions don’t quit because they are tired. They quit because they have succeeded. In the words of Billie Jean King, “Champions keep playing until they got it right.” Losers quit because they got it wrong. Winners quit because they got it right. If you want to win, don’t quit because you are tired, or because you got it wrong. Quit because you got it right, and that you are ready to take on the next assignment.

Champions always win because they are bold. They are courageous. They are fearless. They are not afraid to make mistakes. In fact, they love making mistakes.

Billie Jean King said, “Be bold. If you are going to make an error, make a doozy, and don’t be afraid to hit the ball.” If you want to win, don’t be afraid to try. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Risk is a part of the game of life. Risk is a part of the game of winning. If you don’t take risk, how are you going to win? No risk, no win.

Champions win because they are self-aware. They know themselves. They know what they can and cannot do. They know their strengths and weaknesses. They know that it takes discipline to be a champion. They know that it doesn’t take overnight to be a champion. To quote Billie Jean King, “I think self-awareness is probably the most important thing towards being a champion.” When you know yourself, you know others.

8 Important Steps To Live A Happier Life

Happiness is a state of mind. If you want to be happy, you can. If you want to be unhappy, you can. It is a state of mind. You can make yourself happy by doing happy things, thinking happy thoughts, and spending time with happy people. You can also make yourself unhappy by doing the opposite.

Happiness is within you. You will find it if you change your thought. You can be if you make others happy.

If you want happiness, make people happy. Don’t search for happiness, because you will never find it. If you want it, give it to others.

Albert Einstein said, “If you want to live a happy live, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.” If you tie your happiness to people, you will be disappointed. People are not perfect. They cannot meet all your needs and wants. Only your goals can make you happy.

In the words of James Altucher, “The key to happiness is to reduce expectation.” If you want to be happy, set goals that you can achieve for yourself.

If you want to live a happier life, know these eight things:

Happiness is a choice. If you want to be happy, it is possible. Only you can make yourself happy, not me, not your teacher, not your spouse, not your parent, but you. Happiness is in your mind. If you want a happier life, change your thinking. Change what you think about.

Happiness is in the art of serving others. If you want happiness, make other people happy. Make them smile. Bring out the best in them. Help them find their purposes in life. When you help others, you are helping yourself.

Happiness is not from material success. Happiness is the way to success. Success is not the way to happiness. Success is not the way to a happier life. Happiness is the way to a happier life.

Be authentic. If you want to live a happier life, you must be authentic. You must be true to yourself. Aristotle said, “To thyself be true.” Be real to yourself. Don’t deceive yourself. Don’t deceive others. Being an authentic person is the best way to really understand who you are. If you are not authentic, you will never know who you are.

Surround yourself with happy people. When you stay with positive and happy people, you will be happy. They will lift you up. They will encourage you to be better, to do great work, and to be yourself. They will accept you for who you are, not what you can do.

Do what you love. Steve Jobs said, “The only way to be successful is to do what you love.” Do things that will help you grow in life. Things that will take you to the next level in your life.

Don’t search for happiness. Albert Camus Said, “You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”

Happiness comes from self-awareness. If you know yourself, if you know who you are, it will help you in dealing with other people. If you don’t know who you are, you cannot know other people. Self-awareness is the way to a successful life.

To find happiness, give it to others.
