Champions are not born; they are made. They developed themselves by working very hard to achieve their dreams.
Why champions win?
Champions win because they think like champions. They think like winners, not like losers.
Peter McWilliams said, “Our thoughts create our reality- where we put our focus is the direction we tend to go.”
Champions don’t quit because they are tired. They quit because they have succeeded. In the words of Billie Jean King, “Champions keep playing until they got it right.” Losers quit because they got it wrong. Winners quit because they got it right. If you want to win, don’t quit because you are tired, or because you got it wrong. Quit because you got it right, and that you are ready to take on the next assignment.
Champions always win because they are bold. They are courageous. They are fearless. They are not afraid to make mistakes. In fact, they love making mistakes.
Billie Jean King said, “Be bold. If you are going to make an error, make a doozy, and don’t be afraid to hit the ball.” If you want to win, don’t be afraid to try. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Risk is a part of the game of life. Risk is a part of the game of winning. If you don’t take risk, how are you going to win? No risk, no win.
Champions win because they are self-aware. They know themselves. They know what they can and cannot do. They know their strengths and weaknesses. They know that it takes discipline to be a champion. They know that it doesn’t take overnight to be a champion. To quote Billie Jean King, “I think self-awareness is probably the most important thing towards being a champion.” When you know yourself, you know others.
Winners never quit. Winners are people who never quit. They fail multiple times, but they never quit. They believe in themselves. They believe that it can be done.
People who quit will never achieve anything big in life. They quit because it was too difficult. They quit because it will take them a while to succeed. They quit because they listened to the wrong people- the wrong advisers. They quit because they didn’t do their homework before they started. If you want to finish what you have started, no matter how hard, no matter how difficult, no matter the cost, do not quit. If you quit today because it is too hard, you will quit tomorrow when you hit the same rock. It is easier to quit than to continue.
“If you want to finish what you have started, no matter how hard, no matter how difficult, no matter the cost, do not quit.”
If you want to get things done, don’t quit. If you think your goal is too big to achieve, split it into how you can get it done. Instead of quitting, check if you need to change your strategies going forward. Change things. Do things differently. Don’t get stuck with the same way you have been doing things. If you continue to do it the same way, you will continue to get the same boring results. Think about what you think is stopping you from getting things done. Instead of quitting, go back and try again. Winston Churchill said, “Continuous effort! Not strength or intelligence is the key to unlocking your potentials.” If you want your dreams to come true, continue to fight for what you want, and you will achieve them.
If you want to be a winner, don’t quit. Keep trying.
There is no failure in life. It depends on how you look at what happened to you. Instead of looking at what happened to you as a problem, instead of looking at the mistakes you have made, instead of looking at the bad decisions you have made as mistakes, look at them as learning opportunity.
“Failure is a great teacher.”
Failure is a great teacher. You learn a lot from failure than you learn from success. The real failure is when you did not learn anything from what happened to you. It is real failure when you focus on the negative things in your life instead of focusing on the positive things. It is real failure when you quit before you make it. It is real failure when you quit before you start, when you didn’t try at all, when you try and quit the next day, when you fall and never rise up, and when you refused to listen to people who can change your life.
