How To Get What You Want From Life

To get what we want from life, we must first know what we want. Most people want something but they don’t know how to get them.

You will be successful if you know what you want.

You will be successful if you know how to get what you want.

You will be successful if you focus on getting what you want.

You can get what you want if you believe you can. Napoleon Hill said, “You can do it if you believe you can.”

You can really be successful if you can just do more than you are paid to do. Do more than you are paid to do. Don’t do what others are doing. Do what you think is right, and what will push you closer to your dream. Again, Napoleon Hill said, “Render more service than that for which you are paid and you will soon be paid for more than you render. The law of ‘increasing returns’ takes care of this.”

Let us look at more ways you can get the best that you so much deserved in life.

Take responsibility.

When you take responsibility for your actions, you are giving yourself power to conquer other bigger and more challenging things ahead of you. But if you blame other people for your actions, you are giving your power away. Don’t blame anyone. Take responsibility for your actions.

You must accept responsibility for your actions, but not the credit for your achievements.”- Denis Waitley

Act!

To get what you want in life, act! Don’t wait for the perfect time to do it. Do it today. If you don’t take action to change your life, your life will not change.

Don’t watch the clock, do what it does. Keep going.”- Sam Levenson

Stop procrastinating.

Your success will not come from putting important things off until tomorrow. Your success will come from doing the first and the most important things first. Don’t procrastinate.

Arthur Ashe said, “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”

Failure is not final.

If you fail at something, don’t take it as final. It is not final, and it will never be. It is okay to fail when you are finding the right path to success. If you want to be successful, you must be comfortable with failure.

As Margie Warrell put it, “Just because you fail at something does not mean you’re a failure.”

Be patient.

It takes 10- 20 years to be lucky. If you want to be lucky, you must be patient. Success goes to those who are patient, not those who are always running. Be patient. Success is a process, not by accident.

“Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.”- Arthur Ashe

Think positively about things.

No matter what is happening around you, focus on the positive things. When you focus on positive things, you will attract positive things into your life. When you focus on negative things, you will attract negative things into your life.

“We are not permitted to choose the frame of our destiny. But what we put into it is ours.”– Dag Hammarskjold, economist

Everything is possible if you want it badly. Focus on what you want and you will get it.

Procrastination: Why We All Should Avoid It

We should do whatever we can to avoid procrastination. It has destroyed more dreams than cancer. Procrastination is putting things off till tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. People put things off for different reasons. Some people put things off for medical reasons. Others put things off because they just don’t want to do it.

If you want to be successful, procrastination is the first disease you should remove from your system. If you allow it to stay, it will do more damage to your future organs than you think. Procrastination is not good today, and it will never be good for anyone who wants to grow in life.

Let see what experts have said about procrastination. Let start with Mark Twain. He said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started.” Did you see that? If you are a chronic procrastinator, how on earth can you get started? You can’t. To get ahead, you have to start moving. You have to start doing things (productive things, okay!). If you want to get ahead, start now.

Benjamin Franklin said, “Never put off till tomorrow, that which you can do today.” People do just that. Instead of putting it off till tomorrow, instead of watching your favorite TV show, do the first thing first, then you can spend the rest of the evening with your TV. Or you can start small. If you don’t know what to do, reach out to people or friends who have done it before. Pocket your ego, and go for what you want, okay!

Now, lets see why we ALL should do whatever it takes to avoid putting things off till tomorrow. We should avoid it for the following reasons:

Procrastination kills your time. When you put things off till tomorrow, you are wasting your time. You are killing your precious time. Remember, time wasted is time lost. Time is one of the things you never get back. Don’t do this to yourself. Instead of wasting your time, take action. Action is the only remedy to procrastination.

Procrastination increases your stress level. If you don’t want to increase your stress level, don’t procrastinate.

Procrastination leads to average work. It is what happens when you spend your time doing other things instead of working on your project. You have wasted your time. You have spent your time watching TV. As a result, you submitted crappy work to your boss or your professor. If you want a good grade, do a good job.

Procrastination makes things difficult for you. Procrastination makes things difficult for you because you don’t have enough time to finish your work, your project, or whatever it is. You don’t have time to concentrate and think about your work. You don’t have time to experiment, to brainstorm, to come up with more ideas. You don’t. What seems easy before is now very difficult for you, because there is not enough time to think.

Procrastination is the number one enemy of success. Successful people do the work. They don’t procrastinate. They are committed to their jobs. Procrastination is the number one enemy of success because you are not doing enough to take you to the finish line. If you want to be successful, don’t put things off. Do the right thing: don’t procrastinate. Take action. Get it done!

If you put things off, you are not growing. When you procrastinate, you are not growing. You are just running around in the same place. If you want to catch up to speed with yourself, stop putting things off. Start doing things. Start taking action. Stop giving excuses. Get into the zone of getting things done. If you get things done, success will come to you. Everything has a reward.

Procrastination allows you to escape doing the things you don’t like. If you are not comfortable doing the things that you are not familiar with, it is time to start thinking in a different way. Change your mind to change your life. Do the things that you don’t like, and you will never skip them again.

Remember, procrastination is a dream killer. If you don’t want to kill your dream, don’t procrastinate. Take action. Don’t get it right, but take action. Action is the cure to procrastination.
