Who are you friends? Who are the people you spend your time with? Are they lifting you up or putting you down? Are they growing or dying? Are they positive or negative people?
It is your choice. It is up to you to decide how you want to spend your time. Remember, time is gold. Time is everything in life. If you waste your time, you waste your life.
We don’t just need people around us; we need great people around us. You need great people in your life. People who will help you succeed in life. People who will lift you up when you are down. People who will bring light into your life. People who will never hurt you. People who are doing productive and great things with their lives. You need them. They will challenge you to be better than you are today. They will encourage you to do the impossible. They will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.
Nadia Comaneci said, “I believe that you should gravitate to people who are doing productive and positive things with their lives.” If you want to grow, if you want to be a champion, this is a good advice for you. You cannot be a winner if you keep associating yourself with losers.
When you associate yourself with people who are doing great things with their lives, before long, you will start to do great things. You will start to think and work like them. Find a person who is doing well in life, and research what they did, and how they did it. Make it a habit of listening to great people, people who have done great things with their lives. Before long, you will start to think and act like them.
If you do what other successful people are doing, you will be successful.
Most people are not happy because they focused on what they don’t have. They focused on their weaknesses. They focused on their failures. They focused on their mistakes. They focused on what people will say about them.
They don’t pay attention to the good things that are happening in their lives. To live a happy life, you must learn how to celebrate yourself. Be grateful that you are alive. Be grateful that you are doing well, regardless of your financial status. Money can only buy you material things, but cannot make you happier than you are today.
A grateful life is not all about money. It is about enjoying the little that you have. It is about respecting yourself. It is about reaching out to people. It is about celebrating the lives of people. It is about focusing on what is important, not what is urgent.
Don’t live your life for people. Live your life for yourself. Don’t worry about what people are saying about you. Just focus on growing. It is their opinions, not yours. What you think and say about you are much more important than what people are saying about you.
Celebrate the things around you. Celebrate the people around you. Nadia Comaneci said, “You should also appreciate the goodness around you, and surround yourself with positive people.”
When you celebrate the little that you have, you will have more to celebrate. Don’t wait to be rich before you start appreciating what you have. Start now! Don’t focus on what you don’t have. If you do, you are not helping yourself. You are hurting yourself.
Don’t let negative people into your life. Let them live in their own world.
