What is failure? Do we really understand what failure is?

Failure, according to B. F. Skinner, “A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.” When you fail at something, you are not a failure. You are just trying to find a better way to do something. The real failure is when you stop trying, when you give up, when you call yourself a failure.

People are not living their lives because they don’t want to fail. They don’t want to embarrass themselves. People fail in life because they set unrealistic goals for themselves. They want to be perfect at what they do. But, the reality is, you cannot be perfect at everything that you do.

People don’t want to fail because it hurts. According to Napoleon Hill, “… failure breaks down one’s morale, destroys self-confidence, subdue enthusiasm, dulls imagination, and drives away definiteness of purpose.”

Here are four things you should know about failure, and how to embrace them:

Failure leads to success. The road to success is through the iron gate of failure. When you fail at something, check what happened, think how you can make it better, learn from it, and move on. You cannot get to success without multiple failures. If you want to succeed, love to fail. Learn to fail, and fail well.

Failure is an opportunity to grow. According to Napoleon Hill, “Failure is a blessing in disguise. There is a solution to every legitimate problem, no matter how difficult the problem may seem.” When you fail, take it as an opportunity to learn more about it. Failure is not a weakness, it is a strength.

Failure is a temporary defeat. Failure is not a permanent thing unless you make it so. Failure is a part of the journey to finding true success. If you don’t fail, you cannot learn. You learn by failing.

Failure is not real. Failure is not real if learn from it. It is real if you fail to learn something new from your mistakes. Sometimes, what we call failure is not really failure, but a temporary stop. If you want to succeed, make your failures temporary, not permanent.

Failure is not the end of life, it is the beginning of life. It is the beginning of success, growth, and happiness.

Many people say what they want to do, but they never follow through. A dream is just a dream until you make it happen. Many people can dream, but only a few can make their dreams happen.

People don’t take action because they are scared. They have a perfect plan, but they never follow through. Research shows that most people are poor because they never follow through with their plans. If you want to succeed, stop talking and start doing.

You can dream all you want. But If you don’t support your dream with actions, you will never succeed.

Doing something the first time is scary, but if you follow through with your plan, you will succeed. No matter how hard, don’t give up. Never give up!

People fail because they don’t take action. People fail because they don’t leave their comfort zones. People fail because they procrastinate. People fail because they don’t change. If you don’t change, you cannot grow. There is no growth without a change. If you want to grow, you must embrace change.

You never know what you can do until you try it. It is only action that can make your dreams come true. Grace Cirocco says, “Only action makes faith real.” Only action makes your life real. Only action can change your life, nothing else.
