Happiness is a choice. Make the choice to be happy. You can do it if you want to.

Don’t search for happiness. If you search for it, you will never find it. If you really want to be happy, do these seven things:

  1. Have a sense of humor. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Be happy. Make people laugh.
  2. Smile. When you leave your home in the morning, find ways to connect with people. Find a way to laugh. Don’t laugh at people. Laugh with people.
  3. Put smile on people’s face. People want to be happy. They want to smile. When they smile, please don’t frown your face. Smile back. They need your smile. I need your smile. The world need your smile. If we can just smile together, the world will be a better place for us all to enjoy!
  4. Be a light. Where there is light, there is no darkness. Be a blessing to people. When you bless people, you are blessing yourself, too. Help people succeed. Help your boss succeed. You will succeed.
  5. Give something special to people. Bless people with your love. Love people unconditionally. Give people praise. When you praise people, it means you love them, you respect them, you care about them. Please do it for yourself, for the world, and for me. Thank you.
  6. Forget yourself. I don’t know what you do. But whatever it is, have fun. Forget yourself in what you do. Don’t think too much about it. Don’t worry about mistakes. Don’t worry about perfection, because it does not exist. Forget yourself in what you do, and you will enjoy it. I know psychologists call it “Flow” I call it “Forget yourself in it”
  7. Don’t complain. I know it is hard to do sometimes. But if you can stay away from complaining, people will love you to death. People want to be around happy people, not complainers. If you complain, you are wasting your energy. No matter what, remain strong and be positive. Be happy.

Make the choice to be happy, and you will be happy.

You Are Better Than You Think

What you expect from people is what they will give to you. If you expect the best, the world will give you the best. If you expect the worse, the world will give you the worse. The message you sent out into the world about yourself is what you will get.

What are you accepting from people? What are telling yourself? How are you thinking about yourself? What are you expecting from people?

Let us face it. People will not love you if you don’t love yourself. If you want people to love you, love yourself first. If you want people to value, respect, honor, celebrate you, you MUST do them to yourself first.

You are a unique human being. Period. Don’t put yourself down. Don’t think you are not good enough. You are good enough. Don’t think others are better than you. No, they are not. Don’t think you are not smart enough. Yes, you are smart enough.

Don’t worry yourself thinking about what people are saying about you. What matters is what you are telling yourself. What matters is what you are telling the world about yourself. So tell the world something great about yourself. Say something good about yourself. Things like, “I am smart.” “I am beautiful.” “No one is like me.” Never say negative things about yourself.

A. A. Milner said, “Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” I will add: “You are a unique human being. No one is like you.”

No matter where you are, what you are doing, where you are doing it, with whom you are doing it, always stay positive. It is hard to do sometimes, but you will reap the reward if you can do it. People will say terrible things about you, remain positive. You will tell yourself negative things, remain positive. You will run into trouble, remain positive. You will doubt yourself, remain positive. Even when there is no light, shed light on your life and on the lives of others around you.

You are better than you think. Yes, you are.
