We think we know ourselves, but we really don’t. We choose what we want to know about ourselves. We know what we want to know about ourselves. We show what we want other people to know about us.
We are happy to talk about our successes, but hide our failures. Life is not like that. You can’t succeed without multiple failures. You must fail to pass. You must fail to succeed. That is the way life operates.
Showing the world our fake self makes us feel good about ourselves. It is a problem. Because you are not being honest with yourself. And if you are not being honest with yourself, how can you change what you want to change in your life? If you are honest with yourself, the answer is a big NO.
No one is perfect. Trying to hide your failures is not doing you any good. It is hurting you. It makes you feel good, but it doesn’t make you good.
Be who you really are. That is the only way you can connect with yourself. Stop hiding your real self. There is power in being yourself. It does not cost much to be yourself. But it costs a lot more to be who you are not. Be you. Don’t worry about what others will say. Don’t worry about it.
You are you. You are special. You are responsible for your life. If you want to achieve greatness in your life, in your work, in your relationship, you must accept 100-percent, not 50- percent responsibility for your life. Don’t wait for people to make you feel good about yourself. You must make yourself feel good about yourself. You must accept 100-percent responsibility for who you are, where you are, and where you are going. If you do that, your dreams are closer to you than you think. Accept responsibility for your life, and they will happen.
