Bill Gates said, “The barrier to change is not too little caring, it is too much complexity.”
“Change is life. Life is Change.”
Not everything we faced can be changed. But if we don’t face something in life, we won’t know whether it can be changed or not. We cannot move forward in life without changing. Change is life. Life is change. If you are not ready for a change, you are less likely to do great things in life.
Remember, not everything we faced can be changed. James Baldwin said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
“Change is the way.”
If want to do well in life, change is the way. If you are not changing, what are you doing? There is no way you can move forward in life without first embracing change. If you think it is possible, try it.
No one likes change. Change is uncomfortable. Change is scary. But if you want to grow, you must be willing and ready to change. Your life will change if you face it. Your situation will change if you face it. If you don’t face that thing that is scaring you to death, that thing is not going to change.
But when it comes to change, one thing is clear: if you want things to change, face it. Wayne Dyer said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
In other words, if you want things to change and you take the right actions to change them, the things you want to change will change. Take the right actions, and your life will change.
If you want to be successful in life, you must first understand the philosophy of success. Orison Sweat Marden said, “Many a man would have been a success had he connected his fragmentary efforts. Spasmodic, disconnected attempts, without concentration, uncontrolled by any fixed idea, will never bring success.”
Success will come to you if you don’t give up, if you stick to your plan. Earl Nightingale said, “Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”
You will succeed if you can just stick to your goals. Marcus Aurelius said, “Stick to what’s in front of you- idea, action, utterance.” It is important to stick to your plan if you want to be successful. If you need to change your plans, do so. But make sure you are aware of what you are getting yourself into. Don’t change your plans because someone pushed you to do so. Change your plan if you think it will make a difference in your life.
You cannot change your life if you don’t believe in yourself. Success starts with you. But if you don’t believe in yourself, no one will believe in you. You cannot succeed alone. If people don’t believe in you, it will be difficult for you to succeed alone. Christian D. Larson once said, “Believe in yourself and all that you are, know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.” There is nothing you cannot achieve if you can just spend sometime with yourself. Listen to yourself. Bring out the best in you. Don’t be afraid to show people who you really are.
You are your own master. Your success is in your own hand.
One can’t be successful without first knowing who one is. Life will be much more easier for you if you know who you are, what you want, where you are going, and how to get there. You cannot achieve anything of value if you are not functioning at your highest level. You cannot achieve anything great if you are just passing time. If you pass time, time will pass you.
If you want to become the person that you have always wanted to be, you MUST master yourself. You must master your life. Here are some additional steps to take if you are to become who you want to be:
“Remember to always be yourself. Unless you suck.”– Joss Whedon, American producer
The first thing to do if you want to become who you want to be is to be yourself. Yourself, but nothing else. If you are not yourself, who are you? To be yourself, you MUST believe in yourself, trust yourself, love yourself, accept yourself, think for yourself, and celebrate yourself. Don’t compete with others; cooperate with others. If even you want to compete, let it be against yourself. Remember to always be yourself if you want to succeed.
“Dig your well before you’re thirsty.“- Harvey Mackay
There is power in preparation. Always prepare yourself to succeed. Don’t underestimate anything. Always prepare yourself to seize anything opportunity. Don’t wait for people to tell you what to do. Do it before they even have the chance to tell you anything. The secret to success is preparation, preparation, preparation.
Don’t Resist Change.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them- that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally toward in whatever way they like.”- Lao Tzu
Change is important to your growth and development. Don’t resist change. Allow things to flow. Allow things to happen the way it ought to be, not the way you want it to be. Change is a way to learn, to understand yourself, to know others, to think in different ways, to get out of comfort zone. If you don’t understand why change is been proposed, don’t resist it. Find a way to understand why the change is been proposed. Change is not funny, so is status quo. If you want your life to change, embrace change. Don’t resist it. In the words of JIm Rohn, “Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.”
“It is the small disciplines that lead to great accomplishments.”- Jim Rohn
There is no success without discipline. If you want to become who you want to be, you must discipline yourself. Do the things that are important to you. Don’t spend your time on things that are not getting you any closer to your dreams. For example, if you have an important project to work on, instead of watching the TV, spend time on your project. You can watch your TV later. In other words, according Stephen Covey, “Do the first thing first.” Focus on what will make you a better, smarter person.
“If you have everything under control, you are not moving fast enough.”– Mario Andretti, Race Car Driver
If you have everything under control in your life, it means you are not moving fast enough. It means you are not taking calculated risks. It means you are playing it too safe. It is okay to play it safe, but know when to say, ‘enough is enough.’ If you want to take risks, make sure that the risks are worth taking. Make sure they are going to help you become a better person. Don’t take risks because people pressured you to do so. Take risks because you know is the right thing to do. Remember to look before you jump. Don’t jump before you look.
Failure is Inevitable.
“Failure is inevitable, make it a strength.”- J.K. Rowling
Failure is a part of life. It is a part of the game of life. If you want to move forward, if you want to learn, if you want to be a better person, you MUST embrace failure. It is okay to failure, but don’t make it a habit. If you fail at something, don’t beat yourself up. Listen to yourself. Learn from failure, and move on. Michael Jordan said, “I can accept failure, everyone fail at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” Failure is not a crime, not trying is. If you want to be better than you are today, don’t let the fear of failure stops you from pursuing your purpose in life.
“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has yet to come. We have only today. Let us begin.”- Mother Teresa
Lots of people spend their time dealing with what happened yesterday. If you continue to live in yesterday, you will continue to miss what is happening today. Today is all that you have. Why wasting it?
You can’t enjoy today if you keep living in yesterday. You need today to build tomorrow. You need today to build your future. If you don’t manage today well, you will not enjoy tomorrow.
If you want to enjoy tomorrow, pay attention to what you are doing today. Pay attention to what you are experiencing right now. Pay attention to how you are spending your time. Pay attention to what today means to you. Pay attention to the results you are getting today. You need today to get tomorrow. If not, you are going to be disappointed.
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi famously said, “The future depends on what we do in the present.”
If you want your future to be better than what you have today, you must focus on what you are doing right now. Believe you can, and you will.
