According to Wallace D. Wattles, “Success in life is becoming what you want to be…”
If you want to be successful, you have to live your own life. Focus on your growth and development. Spend your time wisely. Know what you want and how to get it. Success is not coming to you, you are going to meet success. Get out of your comfort zone and embrace the unknown that life has for you.
You can achieve anything in life if you know that success does not come overnight. It takes more than twenty years to be lucky. If you want to achieve anything of value in life, know what you want, know your strengths and weaknesses, and know how to get information you need to succeed in life.
Orison Sweat Marden Said, “Cling to success thought.” Period. You will become what you keep in your mind. if you keep poverty thoughts in your mind, you will attract poverty into your life. If you focus on success thoughts, you will start to attract positive things into your life. If you want to be successful, you must think success all the time.
Be curious. Orison Sweat Marden said, “Man was made for growth.” If you want to be successful never stop learning new things. Embrace change. You can do great things only if you embrace change. There is no growth without change. There is no change without growth. If you are not growing, you are shrinking. Life is growth, and growth is life.
Success is a process. It is ahead of you. If you want to catch it, you must do the right thing, work hard and smart, be ready to fail, be ready to look stupid, be ready to face fear in the eye, be ready to conquer self-doubt, and be ready to push yourself. To motivate yourself. No one will motivate you.
Success is a journey, not a destination. If you want to be successful, you have to be patient. Success takes time to reach. It takes time because it is self-development. It is self-discovery. It is self- growth. Success is not about material things, it is about spiritual growth.
If you want to catch success, if you want to smell success, if you want to enjoy success, you MUST be patient. Don’t be in a hurry to reach there. As William Makepeace put it, “Do not be in a hurry to succeed. What would you have to live for afterwards? Better make the horizon your goal; It will always be ahead of you.” That is why success is a journey, not a destination.
You need the right attitude to succeed in life. You need the right attitude to face your challenges, to face your obstacles, to face your battles, and to be successful.
One cannot go through life without having to jump over some difficult hurdles. Life is not without difficulties. You need the right attitude to weather the storm. You need the right attitude to go through the gate of difficulties into the paradise of success.
Our attitude is a reflection of what we are thinking in mind. It shows the world what we are thinking. If we are thinking about negative things, it will show in our behavior. If we are preoccupied with positive thoughts in our minds, it will reflect in our behavior. The right attitude makes life easier for us. It brings people closer to us. It makes dealing with toxic people much easier. The right attitude is a victory ticket for you anywhere you go.
But, when we are faced with a problem, the first thing that comes to mind is the “I can’t fix this” attitude. This is the issue with lots of people. When you have a problem to fix, it is not the time to occupy your mind with negative thoughts. It is the time you should fill your mind with positive thoughts. Positive thoughts allow you to relax and think clearly. Negative thoughts, on the other hand, create more tension and confusion, because your brain is filled with the stress hormones. Whenever you have problem, big or small, don’t amplify it. Take a deep breathe, relax, and think about it in a clear and orderly manner.
In his book Life is like a Taxi Ride, J. Lyman MacInnis describes attitude as: “The only thing in life over which we have complete control is our mental attitude.” You can control what you think about. You have total control over your mind. Don’t let negative thoughts into your mind. Fill your mind with positive thoughts.
We always think we have problems. But the reality is that we don’t have any problem. The REAL problem is how we think about the problem. To quote J. Lyman MacInnis, “Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it.” When you are going through difficult times, fill your mind with positive thoughts; and remove negative thoughts from your mind. once you have succeeded in removing negative thoughts from your mind, you will have a clean mind to think creatively about the issue at hand.
Always think positively, and problems will disappear.
Your success will depend on how you see the world. Regardless of your situation, always fill your mind with positive thoughts, not negative thoughts.
Why are some people highly successful? Why are others not so successful? What are they doing right that others are doing wrong? You will find the answers to these pressing questions after you have read and digested the following eight secrets of highly successful people.
Successful people make lots of mistakes. The art of making mistakes is what all successful people practice. Successful people don’t see mistakes as mistakes; they see mistakes as learning opportunities. Make mistakes, learn from them, and move on.
“There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.”- Buddha
Successful people take risks. Success and risks are on the same highway. They are neighbors. Successful people are not smarter than you, but they take chances. A lot of people don’t take risks because they are scared of the unknown. They are afraid of what is coming next. You cannot succeed without taking a few calculated risks. You cannot succeed by playing itsafe. Remember, you are the master of your life. Nothing will change unless you are willing to take risks.
“Only one who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”- T. S. Eliot, playwright and essayist
Successful people invest their time and money wisely: Highly successful people don’t play games with their time. They spend their time and money wisely. They are great time managers. They invest in themselves. Successful people don’t spend more than they earn. They pay themselves first. If they can do it, you can.
“Until you value yourself, you won’t value YOUR TIME. Until you value YOUR TIME, you will not do anything with it.”- Dr. M. Scott Peck, psychiatrist
“My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.”- Henry Ford
Successful people take action. Successful people recognize the importance of taking action. They understand that without action, nothing will change. Actions change things (positive or negative). If you plan to succeed, plan to take action. If you want your dream to come true, take action.
“Action is the foundational key to all success.”- Pablo Picasso
“The price of inaction is far greater than the cost of making a mistake.”- Meister Eckhart, theologian
“Nothing will work unless you do.”- Maya Angelou
Successful people don’t quit. People fail because they quit too soon. No matter how tough, don’t quit. If you quit once, you will quit again. Even when you choose to quit, don’t quit without a solid plan B. Sometimes it is better to quit than to keep wasting time doing what is fruitless. Again, don’t quit without a solid plan B, plan C, and plan D. Whatever you plan to do, see the plan through.
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.“- Paulo Coelho, novelist
“It’s always too early to quit.”- Norman Vincent Peale
Successful people take responsibility. We are quick to blame others for our own problems. However, they are not the cause of our problems, we are. Where we are now is the result of the decisions we have made in the past. To be successful, learn how to take responsibility for your actions. Whatever happens, don’t blame others, blame yourself. Why do we even blame others for our problems? It’s easier to blame others than to take an honest look at ourselves.
“The price of greatness is responsibility.”- Winston Churchill
“You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.”- Antoine de Saint-Exupery, writer
Successful people believe in themselves. Everything starts with belief. If you believe you can achieve something, you can. If you don’t believe you can achieve anything, you can’t. The only person that can stop you from achieving your dream is YOU. Believe you can, and you will.
“He who believe is strong, he who doubt is weak. Strong convictions precede great actions.”- Louisa May Alcott, novelist & poet
“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.”- Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, writer
“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.”- Norman Vincent Peale
Successful people love what they do. Passion brings success. Without passion, success is almost impossible. Passion supplies energy. Successful people are passionate about what they do. REAL success comes from doing what you love. Failure comes from doing what you hate.
“Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.”- George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, philosopher
“Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life.”- Dr. Wayne Dyer, philosopher and self-help author
