Everything that lives has the power to become greater.” – J. Lyman MacINNis

We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”– George Bernard Shaw, playwright

There is nothing you cannot achieve in life if you believe you can. In order to that, you should work very hard to have a renewed mind. Progress starts in your mind. If your mind is clean, healthy, there is nothing you cannot achieve. As James Allen once said, “A positive mind will produce positive results. A negative mind will produce negative results.”

You are never too old to accomplish your dreams. You are never too old to set a new goal for yourself. You are never too old to adapt a new positive lifestyle. You are never too old to drop your negative mindset that has been holding you back. You are never too old to start dreaming bigger dreams. You can do it if you want to.

Associate yourself with doers, not talkers. Associate yourself with people who are getting things done, no matter how difficult the process may be. Don’t hang around negative people. If you do, before long, your mind will be a mess.

Life is all about living and dreaming. If you stop dreaming, you will stop creating new things. If you stop renewing your mind, your mind will be flooded with negative things. Make sure you work hard to protect your mind. It is all you have. A weak mind is a weak person. A strong mind is a strong person.

You are never too old to dream. Keep dreaming!

“Progress is Impossible without Change”

Boy and Girl Standing Near Wooden Wall

“Progress is impossible without change,

and those who cannot change their minds,

cannot change anything” George Bernard Shaw

Change starts in the mind. Change means to change the way you think about things. It means changing your thoughts from negative to positive. It means thinking constantly in a positive way. Real change is not going to happen unless you first change your mind.

Everything changes when you change.”- Jim Rohn

Change your life today. Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay.”– Simone de Beauvoir, writer

Change of mind means change of thoughts. If you want to make a big progress in life, it starts with your mindset. It starts with how you see things around you. If you believe things are positive, they will be positive. But if you believe things are negative, they will be negative. WHY? Because your thoughts affect your actions. Your thoughts are the master of your actions. If you don’t change your mind, you cannot move from where you are to where you want to be. You have to change your mind to be able to move to the next level. Without movement, there is no progress. Here are some strategies that will help you change your mind:

Think positively about things

Set goals and follow through

Don’t make excuses

Surround yourself with people that will encourage you to grow

Block negative people from reaching you

Focus on one thing at a time.

12 Motivational Quotes About Fear

Group of People Raising Right Hand

Fear is the barrier between success and failure. It prevents people from reaching their goals. People fear everything. Fear cripples people’s ideas. Fear keeps people in a mental prison forever.

What is Fear? Where is fear from? Why do we fear the things we fear? What is the purpose of fear? How can we cure fear? Is it really possible to get rid of fear? If not, how can we live with fear?

According to Zig Ziglar, fear has two meanings: “Forget Everything And Run,” OR “Face Everything And Rise.”

So let’s look at some of things that prevent people from reaching their full potential. As I said earlier, people fear everything, including the following:

  • People fear failure.
  • People fear success.
  • People fear confrontation.
  • People fear rejection.
  • People fear commitment.
  • People fear taking responsibility.
  • People fear other people (fear of people).
  • People fear making decisions.
  • People fear making any changes in life.
  • People fear embarrassment.
  • People fear starting their own business.
  • People fear going to school (they fear learning new things).

Thanks to psychologists. They have fancy names for these fears. They call them “phobia.”

How does fear affect us?

Fear stops people from doing what they are destined to do in life. It prevents them from reaching their goals. It prevents them from major achievements. For example, people would prefer to be absent from a major meeting than to face the crowd. Fear makes people call in sick from work, because they don’t want to meet with the new customer, or they don’t want to take on the new assignment. It makes people feel REALLY sick. Fear prevents people from doing a major corporate or personal presentation. Because they cannot stand the crowd. Fear keeps people in isolation. It prevents them from reaching out to their neighbor. It prevents them from enjoying their lives. The question is, “How can we live with fear?”

It is important for us to understand that “fear is real”. if we want to conquer fear, then we should do the following:

  • We should understand where the fear is coming from.
  • We should take action. That is, we should confront fear. We should face fear. Don’t just sit back and expect your fear to disappear-it is not going anywhere.
  • We should always prepare for new situations.

That been said, let’s take a look at what experts have said about fear:

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.–

Paulo Coelho, Brazilian novelist

Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dream.– Paulo Coelho, Brazilian novelist

A man who is not afraid is not aggressive; a man who has no sense of fear of any kind is really a free man, a peaceful man.–

Jiddu Krishnamurti, philosopher

Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.–

Les Brown

Everything that you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear.–

George Addair

A man who fears suffering is already suffering from what he fears.–

Michel de Montaigne, philosopher

Whenever there is fear, you will get wrong number.–

W. Edwards Deming, engineer

It’s the perpetual dread of fear, the fear of fear, that shapes the face of a brave man.–

George Bernanos, author

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.–

Elbert Hubbard, writer

Laughter is poison to fear.– Alan Rickman, actor

To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom. Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric.– Bertrand Russell, philosopher, historian

Fear cannot be without hope nor hope without fear.–

B. Spinoza, philosopher

The oldest and strongest emotions of mankind  is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.–

H.P. Lovecraft

Growing is Changing

Growing is changing. Changing is growing. If you are not changing, you are not growing. If you are not growing, you are dying. If you are changing, you are growing.

If you are not changing, you are not growing. If you are changing, you are growing.”

In order to grow, you have to do new things. You have to run away from doing the same thing over and over again. You have to meet new people. They will teach you new things. Get out of your comfort zone! People that are constantly growing, hate “status quo”.

If you are growing, you cannot stay in one place. You must be moving.

If you want to grow, professionally and personally, do these things:

  1. Abandon the usual ways of thinking. According to leadership expert, John Maxwell, popular thinking is:
  • Too average to understand the value of good-thinking
  • Too inflexible to realize the impact of changed-thinking
  • Too lazy to master the process of intentional-thinking
  • Too small to see the wisdom of big-picture thinking
  • Too satisfied to unleash the potential of focused-thinking
  • Too traditional to discover the joy of creative-thinking
  • Too naive to recognize the importance of realistic-thinking
  • Too undisciplined to release the power of strategic-thinking
  • Too limiting to feel the energy of possibility-thinking
  • Too trendy to embrace the lessons of reflective-thinking
  • Too shallow to question the acceptance of popular-thinking
  • Too proud to encourage the participation of of shared-thinking
  • Too self-absorbed to experience the satisfaction of unselfish-thinking
  • Too uncommitted to enjoy the return of bottom-line thinking.

Why is popular thinking bad for you? According to John Maxwell, popular thinking is bad because:

  • It means you are not thinking
  • It offers false hope
  • You are slow to embrace change
  • It brings only average results

2) Be curious

3) Meet new people

4) Go to new places

5) Learn about other people

6) Learn new skills. Take new courses.

Finally, John Maxwell writes, “If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone.”
