If you want to compete in today’s competitive job market, you must invest in yourself. You must invest in yourself- personally and professionally. That is the only way you can compete with people who are investing in themselves everyday.
Before you invest in yourself, you must do an honest assessment of yourself. It is painful to do, because you are going to find out something you hate about yourself.
In their book The One Minute Manager, Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson said, “People who feel good about themselves produce results.” You can invest in yourself. You can do anything that you set your mind to do, but you have to first feel good about yourself.
Remember, self-education is an ongoing process. It never ends. Benjamin Franklin said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best dividends.”
Is he right or wrong? It is up to you.
