The Fear Of Change

Change is not comfortable. It is scary, but unavoidable. No one wants to change. We are comfortable with what we are currently doing. We think there is no need to change. We resist change. We fear what people will say about us.

The question you should be asking yourself is: “Am I happy with what I am doing right now?” This is a critical question. If you are happy with what you are doing right now, there is no need to worry about change, but don’t be too comfortable. If you are not, yes, if you are not, like many people, It is time to decide whether you want to stay where you are, or it is time to move forward. You have a choice.

You can do this. How? You start by changing your mindset. Change the way you think about change. Change your thinking about change from “impossible” to “possible.” Embrace change, and change will embrace you. Instead of thinking of change as a terrible thing to do, embrace it. View change as a way to to grow, as a way to change yourself, as a way to learn new things, as a way to get out of your comfort zone, as a way to reach your goal, as a way to grow, as a way to bring out the best in you. Don’t resist change. Be a change agent. As the late Steve Jobs put it: “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”

Again, you can do this. Don’t let the fear of change cripples your ideas, your dreams, your goals, and your future. Start small. It takes time to change habits. Don’t settle for less. Hunt for more opportunities to grow. Be a change agent.

Are you ready to change?
