What are the small things? Why are they so important?
Most people think the small things are not important. They are wrong. There is power in the small things. Pay attention to the little things, they can change into the big things. It is from the small things that the big things grow. Pay attention to details, but don’t be absorbed by them. Paying attention to details is good, but if you stay too long on one assignment, it will slow down the entire project. As a result, your company, or your department will start to loose money.
“There is power in small things.”
James Allen said, “To neglect small tasks, or to execute them in a perfunctory manner, is a mark of weakness and folly.”
If you fail to do the small things well, you will fail to achieve the big things. The Small things are the foundation of big things. They are the rock upon which a giant building is constructed. Master the art of the small things so that you can construct a solid foundation. Anything without a solid foundation is going to crumble. So, pay attention to the little guys. James Allen put it this way, “He who masters the small thing becomes the rightful possessor of the great.” He is right. If you don’t master the small things, you cannot find your way into the world of the big things.
“If you don’t master the small things, you cannot find your way into the world of the big things.”
Whatever it is that you do, pay attention to the small things.
