The Small Things

What are the small things? Why are they so important?

Most people think the small things are not important. They are wrong. There is power in the small things. Pay attention to the little things, they can change into the big things. It is from the small things that the big things grow. Pay attention to details, but don’t be absorbed by them. Paying attention to details is good, but if you stay too long on one assignment, it will slow down the entire project. As a result, your company, or your department will start to loose money.

There is power in small things.”

James Allen said, “To neglect small tasks, or to execute them in a perfunctory manner, is a mark of weakness and folly.”

If you fail to do the small things well, you will fail to achieve the big things. The Small things are the foundation of big things. They are the rock upon which a giant building is constructed. Master the art of the small things so that you can construct a solid foundation. Anything without a solid foundation is going to crumble. So, pay attention to the little guys. James Allen put it this way, “He who masters the small thing becomes the rightful possessor of the great.” He is right. If you don’t master the small things, you cannot find your way into the world of the big things.

If you don’t master the small things, you cannot find your way into the world of the big things.”

Whatever it is that you do, pay attention to the small things.

Control Your Thoughts

Control what you allow into your mind. You should keep your mind clean from all negative thoughts. Fill your mind with POSITIVE thoughts. You get out what you give your mind to keep for you.

You get out what you give your mind to keep for you.”

Negative thoughts kill. Positive thoughts heal.

If you want to do great things in life, if you want to reach your goals, if you want to have a happy life, control what you allow into your mind.

Negative thoughts kill. Positive thoughts heal.”

According to James Allen, “Those who are not prepared for the apprehension of a great purpose should fix their thoughts upon the faultless performance of their duty, no matter how insignificant their task may appear.”

Yes, no matter how small the task may be, control how you think about it. The way you think about things will affect how you manage them. Again, if you want to achieve great things, you have to control what you let into your mind. What you put in, you will get out. If your mind is everywhere, you cannot achieve anything. To quote James Allen, “ To put away aimlessness and weakness, and to begin to think with purpose, is to enter the ranks of those strong ones who only recognize failure as one of the pathways to attainment; to make all conditions serve them, and who think strongly, attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.”

What you put in, you will get out.”

What does “failure” mean to you?

Is it a road block? OR

Is it a “pathways to attainment?”

Put way aimless thoughts, start to think with purpose.

Whenever you face any obstacles, think about it as one of the “pathways” to success.

Remember, if you think purposefully about things, you will get  purposeful results.
