What Gets You Up In The Morning?

Mountain Climbing Silhouette

The question is, “What gets you up in the morning?”

What do you think the interviewer is looking for? When answering this question, think about YOUR “why”. Think about what motivates you. What gets you out of your fine bed every morning.

The interviewer is looking for:

  • Why are you different?
  • What do you have that other candidates cannot give them?
  • What makes you unique?

Explain in MORE details why you love what you are doing. Why you enjoy your job?

This is an important point because the interviewer knows that “interest motivates more than money.

If you love your job, you will enjoy going to work every morning, day, or night.”

Talk about why you think the job is a perfect fit for you.

Provide some examples of what motivates you. For example, some employees are motivated by money- depending on where they are in life. While others are motivated by being recognized at work.

Remember, it is about MOTIVATION.
